For the month of October we’d like parents to assist with encouraging our students to continue their participation with the following activities:

The Week of October 3rd – Make friends with someone new at school and challenge your family or friends to pay it forward with acts of kindness.

The Week of October 10th – Stand up for others week…be an Upstander not a Bystander

The Week of October 17th – Week of inclusion: don’t let anyone at school eat alone in the cafeteria or play alone on the playground.

The week of October 24th – start the week with conversations with your peers and meet about how you can change the culture at your school.

Every October, schools and organizations across the country join STOMP Out Bullying™ in observing National Bullying Prevention Month. The goal: encourage schools, communities and organizations to work together to stop bullying and cyberbullying and put an end to hatred and racism by increasing awareness of the prevalence and impact of all forms of bullying on all children of all ages.

The first Monday of every October is World Day of Bullying Prevention™!

On this day students, schools, and communities all over the world go BLUE together against bullying. It also kicks off National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month every October.
